So far, since we started uploading our animal vids to YouTube instead of here, pig-ster "Rowdy Ruppert" has emerged as a crowd favorite and rakes in the views by the thousands. You can see him and others here:

Life is Good. Gratitude rocks. Problems are gifts. Faith matters. This channel is a bit of an open diary and collection of my own reflections on things that happen on and off the grounds of Good Acres Sanctuaries. This is not a how-to-channel. But heck, you may just find some inspiration anyway or a...

RIP Simon.
On Friday night we lost our feisty beautiful rooster Simon. He was six years old. On the evening of the same day he was not feeling well but enjoyed being hand fed and watered when he suddenly fell over and passed. Simon was laid to rest alongside our many other sanctuary residents who were called to their eternal home. We sure miss his powerful voice every morning announcing that the gift of a brand new day has been bestowed on us.

Important Announcement for our patrons and donors!
We have downsized our website to a much more simple one due to the rising cost of technology services. Unfortunately, this means all patronships that were once purchased through our old website's credit card processing system are now stopped. If you would still like to have your patronship, please visit our new simple website and reinstate your patronship anew via the paypal button. If you have any questions at all please feel free to call or text at 8595503027. As always all patrons can come and visit the farm along with family and friends without charge. We love our patrons! Sorry for the hazzle of having to re-buy your patronship. See you at the farm to pet some soft noses :)
As always you can find us the web at: http://goodacres.us

(Just in case you're wondering, our new simple website is hosted by adobe express and costs zero bucks, which leaves more cash for our furry residents.)

Each time we loose something we gain something else at the same time. Each time one door closes, another one opens at the same time. Such is one of the bittersweet realities of life. When Celina lost her best friend Patrick recently, she became our "only dog". This marked the beginning of a new life phase for her. Instead of being always just on the farm, she got outfitted with a fancy harness and leash and new adventures began. She has since had many outings, is enjoying every second of them, and looks forward to many more. Every end is a potential beginning of something extraordinarily beautiful. The choice is yours.

We are set for a sweet summer at Good Acres. Each one of the hundreds of blossoms on our apple trees are going to turn into an apple! It's one of natures miracles and a delicious one at that. Yumm!

Ordinary moments are often not given much attention. Yet, here the Animal Man was captured doing what he does every single day without fail. He gives every single little goat and sheep a treat in the evening and each in his or her own little black bowl. It is not that they need this food. It is simply his way of reminding them every day how loved they are. Real men are kind to animals - all animals - not only pets.

Otto in the barn. Otto in the sun and mud. What else will this big boy be up to this spring at Good Acres? Eating and sleeping maybe? Probably. Life is busy at the sanctuary 😁

Buenos dĂas Good Acres fans! Just wanted to let you know that getting out early in the morning to seize the day is a semi-good idea even if half your bedding is sticking to your face. Just do it! There are lots of naps to be had in the spring sun and you wouldn't want to miss those, right?

One last fashion statement by Ms. Molly in her adorable (and warm) coat. Molly has arthritis and anything that keeps her warm keeps her more comfortable as well. But with spring springing the horse coats are just about packed up and back in storage for the next brrrr season. Acres

What could be cuter than two donkey girls out and about free roaming the farm? As we all know, the grass is always greener on the other side, and even when you have your own pasture, every so often you just have to visit others.

A Sanctuary for Animals & People

MISSION STATEMENT

GA Sanctuaries dba Good Acres Sanctuaries offers rescued farm animals a safe haven from neglect, abuse and slaughter for the remainder of their natural lifespan. Educational programming and events for the public encourage and inspire people of all ages to transition to a plantbased diet for greater kindness and mercy towards animals, better personal health, and to lessen each person’s environmental footprint. Drawing on the life-affirming presence of the rescued animals the sanctuary offers children and adults with various physical and mental disabilities access to the animals and the peaceful farm to gain temporary respite from life’s hardships. As a nondenominational ministry Good Acres Sanctuaries also provides spiritual counseling for all life situations including grief and loss after the death of an animal companion.
