Our Spring Concert is just a few days away on Tuesday, May 5th! Come celebrate the end of the school year with us and hear some great music!

Join us for the final middle school band concert of the year on April 28th @ 6:30 pm! We will be performing some really fun music featuring many pieces that you all might recognize. See you all there!

This past Thursday, the Anderson County Middle School Symphonic Band and Concert Band also performed at the KMEA District 5 Large Ensemble Assessment. These students worked extremely hard on their music and were rewarded for their efforts! The ACMS Concert Band received a Proficient rating in both their prepared pieces and sight reading and the ACMS Symphonic Band received a Distinguished rating in both their prepared pieces and sight reading. I am really proud of their performances and congratulations to both bands for an amazing showing at assessment!

A big congratulations to both the Anderson County High School Wind Ensemble and the Anderson County High School Concert Band! Both groups attended KMEA Large Ensemble Performance Assessment over the past two days and both groups received a distinguished rating from all judges! The wind ensemble received a unanimous distinguished rating from three of the four judges, getting the highest score in each performance area! We are proud of the students hard work and dedication through all of the snow days and busyness that the spring semester brings!

Our 10th Annual Mattress Fundraiser is TOMORROW, from 10 AM - 4 PM, at Gym C in the east wing of the high school! There will also be adjustable bases, sheets, and pillows to try too! Come join us, get a new mattress, and support the band at the same time!

A big congratulations to all the students that performed in all the all state ensembles this weekend, and especially our very own Lily Readnour who performed with the All State Symphonic Band this weekend!

Congratulations to these that made it into the KMEA Middle School All-State band! They will be rehearsing and performing a concert at the EKU Center for the Arts on March 6th and 7th. Hope to see you all there and congratulations again to these students!
