About 2.7 million dogs are put down in U.S. Veterans now commit suicide at the rate of 1 every 59 minutes. Veterans who are in need

of a service dog. Over 1.5 million. This program is designed to completely eliminate the cost & waiting list for our veterans in need of a service dog and also greatly help with the shelters overpopulation problem. We provide disabled veterans & veteran’s family members with service dogs. Program dogs are from local shelters, fully vetted, spayed & neutered & pass evaluation. To meet the dire needs of veterans and shelter dogs, WDFV has designed an innovative training model that trains people and dogs alike. They utilize three programs all under the umbrella of WDFV; Prison Program (where inmates train service dogs), In-House (where certified trainers volunteer to train service dogs in their home), and Owner-Trained (where veterans can train their own dog and are mentored by certified trainers. With the No Veteran Left behind Program, We train program dogs in-house for veterans who are unable to participate in the training themselves. Veterans who are able to help train their own service dog are now teamed up with a local member of Law Enforcement, military, active military, or reserves throughout the U.S. Most are experienced dog trainers/handlers helping with dog selection, evaluations, training, from start to finish. We provide volunteers & veterans with id badges, certificates, certification, A.D.A. laws & info & video on dog training to teach the tasks for a dog to be a service dog. Some tasks include medication alert, blocking someone from approaching too fast, & removing veterans from stressful situations. In return we ask after their dog has completed the program, they help another team. This results in local groups meeting at a local park helping each other in training their service dogs. And that is where the real medicine is, veterans helping veterans. There for No Veteran is left behind. At this growth rate, we hope to have trainers at every military base and in every city throughout the country within 3-5 years. Thank you for your support! More info at:

NO VETERAN LEFT BEHIND our goal is to help 250 veterans adopt 250 shelter dogs this year ,providing them with service dog training, and supportive services no cost for any VETERAN in need of a Service Dog. (84-dogs-help) =843-647-4357

🐾 The Journey Continues! 🐾

After an incredible year of hard work, dedication, and training by veteran inmates in the Newlife K9s - Ohio Prison Dog Program, Raya the Bernedoodle and Zoey the Labrador Retriever are officially on to their next chapter!

A big thank you to volunteer Shuree, who stepped up to bridge the miles by driving from Indiana to Ohio to pick up the girls, safely delivering them to the Working Dogs For Vets HQ in Tennessee. 🚙💨

Now that they’ve arrived at HQ, Raya and Zoey will continue their advanced training until they are fully certified service dogs and ready to be matched with disabled veterans.

We are so grateful for the incredible teamwork—from the dedicated trainers inside the program to the volunteers on the road—that makes this life-changing mission possible. ❤️

Feeling incredibly thankful for our friends at ! 🐾 As part of their volunteer days, their amazing team rolled up their sleeves to clean up our facilities—removing and replacing the cedar wood chips in our kennel areas and agility course.

Liberty Mutual has partnered with Working Dogs For Vets for several years now, dedicating their time annually to support our mission. Thank you for always showing up for our pups and our veterans! 🇺🇸🐕

Signs, commands, and total focus! 🛑🐕

Team Greg and River put in some incredible work on the rally course. This specialized training uses a series of stations to teach veteran and service dog teams how to communicate flawlessly under any circumstances.

River’s eyes are locked on Greg—that is what true teamwork looks like! 😍
