Well, its been quite a while since I posted anything about Ms Suzy and I guess this is a good time to do so.
Shortly after her last visit with Dr Scanga, Susie began to suffer from rejection. After about 6 weeks of of steroids, she is back on the mend. She takes two steps forward and one step back some weeks. She had a great week but pulled her back today lifting an old shelf. I wish you all could see her gardens. She has been pruning and planting. Everything is really beautiful after this rain. Sorry I have been so bad about posting. I will try to do better. Thanks to all of you who ask about Susie. It really makes us both feel good to know you care!

We had a good visit with Dr Scanga and Chris Webb this past Thursday! A few more adjustments to the medicine, Susie is feeling well. She spent most of today playing in her flower beds!!!

You generous donations have paid all deductibles and out of pocket expenses for the transplant . We have many more visits to the Dr and plenty of tests over the next five years to make sure the cancer has not returned Thankfully, the transplant fund has a healthy balance. Thanks and God bless all of you who have helped us. We are grateful for your support!

Suzy has been doing so very good. She has been released by the surgery team and has been going in to Moore's on her regular schedule. Last weekend we had a great time celebrating the wedding of niece Mandy Cone and Brian Maddox. We have our next Dr's appointment this Thursday, April 8 with Dr Scanga. We haven't seen him since November. This will be the beginning of a new phase; staying healthy! Thanks everyone for asking about Suzy. It sure feels good to know how many care.

It's been almost 8 weeks since Suzy had her transplant. She continues to do well and get stronger every day. She is driving short trips around town and has started cooking again. (Thank Goodness!) Look for her in the afternoons at Moore's. We have our next visit with Dr Moore on Friday morning. Thanks again for the prayers, the well wishes and your generous financial support!!!!!

Eighteen days after the transplant and Ms Suzy is just doing great. Visited Dr Moore on Friday and got a good report. No more visits until next Friday. Quite a relief as we have been going in every other day. Went for a long walk around Cool Springs Mall on the way home and grocery shopping at Walmart on Saturday. Glad she is starting to get out a little! Hope none of you have the flu and are fairing well with all this cold weather. Best wishes to all and Thank You all for your prayers and support.

Good evening everyone! We're 10 days into the transplant experience and everything is going well. Suzy has been up most of the day and is walking laps in the house. Went up to VUMC yesterday for labs and by chance saw her anaesthesiologist in the hall. He just couldn't believe she was up and walking around in the hospital. Thanks again for all the good vibes. We sure can feel them. God bless!
