IMPORTANT: Good morning, this is Patrick O'Rourke. I am a Lt. with the Law Co Sheriff's Depart and the new Secretary and Treasurer of FOP Lodge 033. Dorene has retired. In this text is important information and action I need each member to take.
1. 2026 Dues are due. I am way behind in this endeavor and it's all on me. My sincere apologies. Dues for 2026 are $60 and can be paid by check or cash. Please drop by the SO to pay. You can ask for me. If I'm in, I will write you a receipt. If I'm not, please place in an envelope with your name, a good contact number, and email address. I will write a receipt and either text or email a copy.
2. I have created a standard email address for the lodge. [email protected] It's important that I get each member to email me at that address so I can update contact information. One of the reasons I'm so behind is this information is outdated or missing. Please email you name, cell phone number, and mailing address.
3. In relation to above, if you know anyone that is a member, please ask if they got these texts. If they did not, please pass the information along. It means I did not have a contact number for them. If you notice someone missing, please pass along. Again, it means I did not have a contact number.
4. This is a good time to join, if you know someone interested, please ask them to reach out for an application. My goal for 2026 is to drive activity and participation. Of course, to have participation, you have to participate. If you have ideas on activities, please mail me at [email protected]
5. Please be patient, I know Dorene was/is an absolute legend and it will be hard to measure up. I will do my best.
6. If you need to rent the lodge, please text or email me. I will put on the lodge calendar and you will receive a calendar notification at your email you provide. The first time you reach out to book, please include name, cell number, email so I can make sure we can communicate effectively. If you rent the lodge, please ensure you clean up after yourselves. We don't have staff that man the lodge on a daily basis. Clean up should include picking up, straightening tables, organize chairs, dishes, wash coffee pot, turn off coffee pot, sweep, take trash out, make sure thermostat is set to 78 in the summer and 68 in the winter. Make sure doors are locked and secure. Make sure alarm is set. Ensure to lock gate.
7. If you use the firing range. Make sure to clean up after yourselves. Take down used targets, pick up trash, straighten barrels, follow all firearm safety rules, make sure you have a medical response plan. Lock the gate on exit.
8. In general, leave the lodge better then you found it. Again, we don't have full time people that manage or maintain the lodge. It's incumbent on all of us to keep it up and keep it clean. If you do find an issue, please let me know as soon as possible via email or text.
Thank you for your attention. Please have your dues in by Weds before Thanksgiving. I need to send them in ASAP.
