💚 May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a time to recognize the importance of mental wellness for everyone in our communities, including the first responders who answer the call every day.
At Lawrence County EMS, we know that emergency responders face difficult and traumatic situations that can take a toll mentally and emotionally. That’s why we are proud to partner with the Tennessee Public Safety Network to support our responders through post-incident debriefings and trained peer support specialists within our department.
Mental health matters for everyone — whether you are a first responder, healthcare worker, friend, family member, or neighbor. If you are struggling, please know that you are not alone, and help is available. Reaching out is a sign of strength.
📞 Call or Text 988
The 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7 for confidential support for anyone experiencing emotional distress, mental health struggles, or crisis situations.
Together, we can break the stigma, support one another, and remind people that it’s okay to ask for help. 💚
