SUNSHINE IS FINALLY COMING BACK TO DOWNTOWN LAWRENCEBURG… AND SATURDAY IS SHAPING UP TO BE A GOOD ONE.

After being stuck inside through last weekend’s weather, this feels like the perfect weekend to slow down, walk Main Street, shop local, and enjoy everything downtown has to offer before the summer rush fully kicks in.

Start your Saturday with a visit to The Kentucky Bookstore inside Tastefully Delicious from 11 AM to 2 PM for a special book signing with Kentucky author Roger Guffey. His books are filled with Appalachian stories, Kentucky culture, family memories, and the kind of storytelling that feels deeply connected to this part of the country.

Meet the author, browse the bookstore, and take some time to explore Tastefully Delicious while you’re there… Kentucky Proud foods, gifts, baked goods, local products, coffee, and all the things that make small-town shopping feel personal again.

And if you’re making a day of it downtown, stick around for lunch and help welcome one of downtown’s newest restaurants. Lineage Kitchen & Bar will be holding their Grand Opening & Ribbon Cutting at noon Saturday right on Main Street. Heavens to Betsy is also a favorite stop while you’re downtown enjoying the sunshine and local shopping.

THIS SATURDAY is gonna be one of those GOOD Kentucky bookstore days.

We’re bringing Roger L. Guffey to The Kentucky Bookstore for a book signing, and if you love Appalachian stories, mountain life, front porch memories, family roots, and the kind of storytelling that sounds like somebody sitting across from you with coffee in hand… y’all are gonna LOVE this one.

Roger’s books don’t feel manufactured or polished for some big-city trend. They feel REAL. Like stories passed down through generations. The kind of books that remind you of people you knew growing up… the kind of places that still exist tucked back in the hills and hollers of Kentucky.

And honestly? Those are some of my favorite kinds of books to carry in this store.

HE’S HERE!!!

Ken Taylor just walked into The Kentucky Bookstore and if you love TRUE CRIME, courtroom drama, federal investigations, or stories pulled straight from real life inside the justice system… you NEED to come meet this man today.

Kenneth R. Taylor spent YEARS inside federal criminal courtrooms, and his book, Trials, Tributes, and Tribulations, is packed with stories and experiences most people never get to hear about firsthand. This isn’t made-up TV drama stuff… this is REAL LIFE from somebody who actually lived it.

And honestly… these true crime signings have become some of my FAVORITE events we do. Last time we had law enforcement officers, true crime readers, history lovers, and curious locals all standing around swapping stories and talking books. Those are the kinds of Saturdays I love.

MURDER… CORRUPTION… FEDERAL COURTS… AND A ROOM FULL OF KENTUCKY STORYTELLING.

Y’all… our last TRUE CRIME style event absolutely PACKED the bookstore. We had law enforcement officers, courtroom folks, mystery readers, and people standing around swapping stories half the afternoon. It turned into one of those events people kept talking about long after it ended.

And tomorrow feels like it could be EVEN BETTER.

Rainy Saturday.
Cool weather.
Perfect excuse to stay out of the house and spend the afternoon downtown browsing books, talking crime stories, and meeting Kenneth R. Taylor in person.

Kenneth’s book, Trials, Tributes, and Tribulations, dives into his career in federal criminal court… and if you love courtroom drama, corruption cases, criminal investigations, and REAL stories from inside the justice system, this one grabs you fast.

Lori Foster’s NEW release, Love Comes in Small Packages, recently arrived at The Kentucky Bookstore… and honestly, seeing all these Lori Foster titles together just makes me happy. We carry a LARGE selection of her books, and they’re the kind of stories people keep coming back for again and again.

With summer coming, these are the perfect kind of books to toss in a beach bag, keep beside your chair on the porch, or curl up with after a long day. They’re fun, relaxing reads that pull you right into the story and make it hard to put the book down.

One thing I love about bookstores is discovering books you didn’t even know you wanted until you see them sitting there on the shelf. You may come in for one title and suddenly leave with three more in your hands. That’s part of the fun of browsing a real bookstore.
