It's almost that time of year again--time to play Goofy Golf! Sign up to play one (or both) session(s), and benefit a good cause.

The Community Mental Health Foundation gives grants toward staff development or appreciation, prevention, education and treatment services provided by Community Mental Health Center, Inc. The Foundation supports and funds projects that are submitted for approval by CMHC staff members in collaboration with patients and families served as well as community partners. The Foundation provides funds for materials and activities not covered by CMHC’s operating budget.

Today is Giving Tuesday! The Community Mental Health Foundation funds proposals for projects not in Community Mental Health Center's operating budget. Previous grants given by the Foundation have included funds for a community garden (managed by staff and patients), a sponsorship for Franklin and Ripley county School Networking Enrichment Days, and to create a sensory-aware space at CMHC's Brookville Office for patients with special needs.

CMHC's North Community Support Services teams, patients, and residents at our North Park Avenue location in Batesville are managing this community garden, funded by a grant from the Community Mental Health Foundation. Excellent work!

This year, the Community Mental Health Foundation was able to help sponsor School Networking and Enrichment days for Franklin and Ripley county schools. CMHF thanks school staff for the important role they play in making sure students and their families have the resources and support they need. We are proud to offer you our support!

In 2021, Community Mental Health Foundation awarded grants totaling nearly $3,000 to purchase exercise equipment for residents in our recovery residential program, to create a sensory-aware space at our Brookville Office for patients with special needs, and to present car seat safety clinics in our communities.
