Awe. What a love story. 😉

Shelter Story

Blake was dumped on a country back road. He was terrified and heartbroken. We had what seemed like hundreds of calls about Blake being on the run. No one could touch him. We would go out there and the mythical creature was nowhere to be found. He finally found refuge in the front yard of someone’s house that didn’t chase him away. Didn’t throw things at him.
One day, armed with a leash and a bag of marshmallows, our staff finally caught him!
We got him safely to the shelter and quickly realized he wanted to be loved! We put him on Petfinder and lo and behold, somebody from Canada fell in love with his sweet face! They said that they were willing travel to Kentucky, just to adopt Blake! They made the arrangements. The paperwork got filled. They stayed in a hotel that night. The very next day Blake got in the car with his forever family and started his journey towards a beautiful new and exciting life.

The right home is needed!

SARAI NEEDS A REAL CHANCE NOT JUST SOMEONE WHO WANTS A DALMATIAN.

Sarai is an adult, spayed female who is up to date on her vaccinations. She’s beautiful, smart, independent…and she can be a little bit of a jerk. But we want to be completely honest about what she needs.Dalmatians are intelligent, energetic dogs that require proper training, structure, and socialization. Their explosion in popularity especially surrounding 101 Dalmatians also led to impulse buying and irresponsible breeding, which did the breed no favors.
Sarai LOVES people, but she does not want to share her home with other dogs. She can be reactive around them and does not like sharing her space, food, or resources.

She needs:
• An only-dog home
• An experienced dog owner
• Someone familiar with strong, intelligent, independent breeds
• Structure, patience, training, and consistency

Sarai isn’t too far gone. She isn’t a bad dog. She simply needs the right environment to succeed.
Please don’t adopt Sarai because you’ve “always wanted a Dalmatian” or because you loved 101 Dalmatians. A famiky in need of some short term help. 😘

🥱 One tired Mama🥱

Miss Jade is exhausted. Being a single mom is hard on all species. She needs a minute or two to herself! Just to rest, snack, and look out the window in silence.
Buuuttttt...she still needs to feed these puppies! We are looking for a foster home willing to take Jade and her 6 puppies in for about 3-4 weeks. They will need to be kept separated during the day. Right now the puppies are eating wet food twice a day and then rooming with mom at night. 3 or 4 weeks will give these puppies a real chance at finding homes. Every day they can spend with each other and mom, help them grow into good, well behaved dogs. The shelter will provide food, blankets, puppy pads, and everything else needed to foster. H***h is not your average Toto. He may be the smallest dog in the shelter, but he’s got the biggest personality. We believe he’s a Cairn Terrier mix with the perfect blend of grumpy old man charm and loyal best friend.
