We’re so excited to announce that Meredith Seitz Johanning was honored by the Lawrence Noon Lions Club and Lions Clubs International Foundation
with a Melvin Jones award!
Named after the founder, Melvin Jones awards are the highest level of international recognition for exceptional service and dedication to the Lions mission in humanitarian work.
Meredith has been a Lion for over 10 years, and has helped with numerous service projects, including coordinating hundreds of early childhood vision screenings every year.
Congratulations Meredith!!

The countdown is on for our Audio Sale, September 11–13 at the Lawrence Public Library, and our volunteers are already hard at work helping us get everything ready! 📚🎶

The African American Hour is focused on Black issues of news, politics, culture, sports, and entertainment. PodBean is a digital podcast streaming platform. The African American Hour is the only program on PodBean from Audio-Reader.

Audio-Reader Network and Lawrence Public Library are teaming up again, this time for a three-day Music & Book Sale - and there’s something a little different happening each day!

FRIDAY, SEPT. 11 | 6:30–8:30 PM
PRE-SALE! Get first crack at all the goods during our Music & Equipment Pre-Sale: Vintage and modern audio equipment, vinyl records, cassette tapes, musical instruments, CDs, and more!
$5 admission at the door (kids under 15 are free).

SATURDAY, SEPT. 12 | 10 AM–4 PM
