Our 100 bales of winter straw arrived yesterday! We needed $800, and you helped us raise $1,200! ❤️
These are big, heavy, tightly packed bales—each one equals at least two square bales from a feed store. That’s a lot of warm, dry bedding for our residents this winter!
Thank you to everyone who donated and shared. Having this straw stocked up is so important. Thank you!

Arthur is putting one of the brush scratchers our volunteers installed to good use! ❤️
The fence is finished, but we’re still building the goats’ epic play area! We’re looking for slides, bridges, large wooden spools, big tractor tires, and sturdy platforms for climbing and exploring.
Have something to donate or know someone who might? Send us a message! Arthur and his friends would love your help furnishing their new space.

Our goats and mini horses moved into their new space yesterday, thanks to the wonderful volunteers who finished the goat fence on Sunday! ❤️
To our awesome little group who keeps showing up for Sunday public work days: you give a few hours of your weekends, work your butts off, and help us get these much-needed projects done. I know you have busy lives of your own, and it means so much that you keep showing up to help. Watch for a follow up post with video soon.

Can you help us stock up on straw before winter?
We have a delivery of 100 straw bales arriving this weekend at $8 each, and we’re hoping to raise $800 to cover the load.
Straw gives our pigs, goats, sheep, chickens and other residents a cozy place to rest, helping insulate their bedding from the cold ground. Our pigs especially love building big straw nests to snuggle into! Bedding needs regular refreshing, so having plenty on hand is essential as chilly mornings turn into winter weather.
Our local supplier’s bales are heavy and tightly packed, so each bale goes a long way. Stocking up now helps us prepare before snow, ice and muddy roads make deliveries more difficult.
An $8 donation covers one bale.
As always, please like, comment on, and share our posts! Thank you for helping us help farmed animals in need, like Pixie 🐽❤️
