We had a fire in one of our buildings early, early this morning. All people and animals are safe. Only one family is displaced from their home.

Our neighborhood came together quickly and helpfully to make sure everyone was safe and had what they needed on what turned out to be a very cold night.

We are very grateful to the Lawrence Fire Department for their quick, professional and caring action.

Please keep the residents of that building in your thoughts and prayers as they recover.
