The Iota Provisional Chapter consists of men who are leaders on campus and in the community, fulfilling our motto of “Men of Valor, Men of Pride” on a daily basis. Today, the Iota Provisional Chapter continues to grow at Haskell Indian Nations University, welcoming new men each year to help them accomplish their goals. Our sincere hope is that after their time at Haskell each man that leaves this chapter has been prepared to serve society as a positive citizen. We instill the Founding Principles of Leadership, Individuality, Community, Honesty, Wisdom, Pride and Unity into all of the men who make up our chapter, and live those values on a daily basis. Any interesed man who is a full-time student with a GPA of 2.3 or higher is eligible to become a Brother of our Fraternity, without regard to race, national origin, age, religion, handicap, sexual orientation or veteran status. The Fraternity does not consent to, condone or tolerate any act of hazing, harassment or humiliation during the Membership Intake Process. Fraternity History:

Seven young men, with a vision to bring cohesion and self-reliance to Native men on collegiate levels, founded Phi Sigma Nu on February 13, 1996, when it became a recognized student organization on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. On February 3, 1997, the University of North Carolina at Pembroke recognized Phi Sigma Nu as a Greek organization, making it the first American Indian Fraternity in the nation.
