Hello, My name is Lisa S. I'm a Dental Assistant with a love for animals and a passion for community. Married with 2 dogs, whom I consider my kids :) I moved here from Madison, WI. There i was the Co-Founder and Dog Park President of the Mt Horeb Area Dog Park Group. I found such pleasure in interacting with the community. Going to board meetings and making things happen! (I also met some amazing

dog friends this way as well). This past year, 2014, I moved to Lawrence Kansas and discovered Mutt Run Dog Park. Upon arrival i noticed grocery bags in trees and dog owners who don't pick up after their dogs. I wondered if there was a community organization or steering committee that would over see these concerns. I inquired with the parks department and they said once a group is formed we could "adopt a park". We adopted Mutt Run dog park and now do clean up days and events. Please join this page if you are interested in helping the Friends of Mutt Run. Join our group and help the community of dog lovers.
