Thanks to everyone who joined us yesterday for Effective Nonprofit Leadership; Roles, Responsibilities, & Impact!! It was so wonderful to see such a diverse group of Douglas County nonprofits come out with the intent to increase collaboration and communication between board and staff members. We hope everyone had some great takeaways and can't wait to see how you translate them into serving our community!

To the 806 🧚‍♀️Godmothers who made more possible for these families, we want to say THANK YOU! Since 2004, more than $211,000 has been granted to nonprofit organization partners to meet the needs of women in our community. Never forget that even the smallest of gifts, kindnesses, and compassion can make a difference. Thank you Lawrence-Douglas County Housing Authority for partnering with DCCF, and making our Fairy Godmothers proud. 🫶

A heartfelt thank you to the Fairy Godmother Fund, through the County Community Foundation, for continuing to invest in the families we serve.

In 2025, this support helped LDCHA Resident Services assist 6 women and 9 children — from critical car repairs that kept parents working and families moving, to education support that opened doors to new opportunities.

This kind of support creates stability during hard moments and momentum toward brighter futures. We are so grateful to partner with organizations that believe in the strength and potential of our community. 💚
