PROJECT CHRISTMAS BOXES - Sowing Smiles with Love

THANK YOU, LAWRENCE, for your generous contributions to our annual Christmas Box giving project! Thanks to your overwhelming participation, we were able to deliver 222 Christmas boxes to EVERY child in K-6th grade!

We couldn't have done it without you and the wonderful support from Lawrence Boy Scout Troop 197. The scouts helped us pack the boxes and carry them to the delivery truck.

The Christmas boxes were delivered this morning and the children helping to carry the bags of boxes were VERY excited.

We hope to make this an annual event and are already planning for next year :-)

This Saturday, November 4th, is the day Emilio Zapata will be installing his Eagle project. For those of you who don't know, he will be installing two benches and six bbq grills in the Lawrence park. Of course, he is asking for your help in completing this project. On Saturday, the work will begin at 10 a.m. and run until 6 p.m. Depending how much work is completed, we may also work on Sunday. We ask that you bring some shovels and work gloves. Hope to see you there!

Always a fun time hiking at Rota-Kiwan! Boys can earn a cool belt-worn patch and pin to put on it for each season hiked. Sorry so many pics (47)... hard to delete any fun memories.
