SAVE THE DATE!
Alumni Banquet 2026 has been set for Saturday, May 16, 2026 in Nelson.
As we have done the past two years, this will be an All-School Reunion for Nelson graduates, Lawrence graduates, and Lawrence/Nelson graduates. We will continue our tradition of recognizing honor years, which for 2026 will include graduating
classes ending in โ6โ and โ1.โ
Whatโs New This Year?
We are excited to introduce a few new additions to the reunion:
โข Silent Auction
โข Recognition of State Championship Teams and Individuals
State championships may include achievements in sports, FFA, speech, drama, music/band, academics, or any activity that earned a state-level championship.
Silent Auction
We are seeking memorabilia from Nelson, Lawrence, and Lawrence/Nelson to create themed gift baskets for the silent auction. If you have items you are willing to donate, please send or deliver them to Stacy Bauer ([email protected]) or
Sheila McCartney.([email protected])
If you have items that would be great for a basket but are not something you wish to part with, we are exploring the option of creating replicas (such as duffle bags, apparel, etc.). We also welcome items donated by local businesses or community
members.
All proceeds from the silent auction will go toward scholarships.
Honoring Championship Teams
The Nelson 1975โ1976 Basketball and Football Teams were honored this year by the NSAA, and we will be recognizing them again at the banquet. If you know of any teams or individuals who will be celebrating an honor year and have earned a state championship, please let us know so we can include and recognize them during the event.

To ensure we reach as many alumni as possible, we are currently updating our address and email database. Please reach out to us with updated contact information so we can keep everyone informed.
The Lawrence & Nelson schools will be opened on Sunday, May 17 by request only. We hope you can join us for a fun-filled weekend of memories, celebration, and connection. More details will be shared as plans are finalized.
