AWG attended the Women in Science day event at the KU natural history museum last Saturday! We created pet rocks, searched for words in a geology word puzzle and performed a volcano demonstration. Thank you to all who came out to support women in science!

Two of our members had a great time two weeks ago at Washburn University’s Women in Science Day event! Sunday Siomedes (President) and Ellie Biebesheimer (member) introduced middle school girls to an educational game from the Kansas Geological Survey - Specimania. The girls learned about Kansan fossils, geologic time, past Kansas environments, and, of course, had fun playing the game!
