It's time!

Yesterday's weather had other plans for us, with severe conditions leading to many cancellations. However, a few games did sneak through, including teams still holding onto playoff hopes. 🤞

So we're sharing some favorite moments from the week, including practice time at both Pavilion Field and GLTS, our coach-mentors leading by example, and a special group shot of high school student-athletes receiving donated cleats. That's thanks to the incredible connections through Everyone's A Player, and this time, the generosity was from Whirlaway Sports Center.

It was the Wolverines' turn for Fuel for Performance, building on last fall's program focused on hydration. This spring it's all about proper snack combinations to help players stay off the "blood sugar rollercoaster" 🎢 and keep steady energy on and off the field.

The girls were especially engaged during a fun, competitive twist on classic Bingo that tested their snack-pairing knowledge!

A huge thank you to Declan for leading the course and to our Boston Children’s Hospital fitkit partners for helping make this possible and tailoring the program to the needs of our players.

🌍⚽ Yes, Lawrence, the World Cup is coming to us!

We are so excited to be working with Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, Inc., U.S. Soccer's Soccer Forward Foundation, to bring the Mass Youth Soccer Festival right here to our community! This is only possible through partnerships, including the City of Lawrence, the Lawrence Recreation Department, and the Mayor's Health Task Force of Lawrence, which are stepping up big time!

On June 29, Veterans Memorial Stadium transforms into a full-on soccer celebration. From 12pm to 6:30pm, we will watch 2 live World Cup matches on a massive big screen, play on inflatable soccer fields, enjoy family activities, food, and so much more.

Come out and celebrate the beautiful game with your community!

We're thinking about the people who show up, week after week, for these kids. With just one month left in the season before we shift gears to summer camps and summer nights programming, our coach mentors are keeping the energy high and making sure the kids are motivated to finish strong…and this photo says it all. 🙌 It's Coach Mentor Issandel getting the Grade 1 boys ready to run! ⚽🧡💙

This takes us back to an inspiring night at Good Sports' annual Boston Legends Gala. Last year, Beyond Soccer was honored and featured in a beautiful 🎥 that we continue to use to tell our story. This year our team returned as guests (thank you!) and got to celebrate alongside so many others who believe in the power of sports and how quality equipment is so essential to keeping kids in the game.

We were also proud to support the Brockton Raiders, which helps youth grow and compete in a positive, structured environment through football and cheer.

Overall, the night was spent connecting with people dedicated to helping groups like ours. It was also special for our staff to spend time together off the field, with a few plus-ones, while also hearing from New England Patriots football Players, Chris Hogan and Brenden Schooler. We continue to feel inspired by being in an environment where so many people have your back! A little dancing also helps.💃😀 Thank you, Good Sports!

If this doesn't bring a smile to your face, we don't know what else could.

This is from our In-City program this past Saturday, where some of our youngest players circled up with coach mentors who have grown up right here in our programs. Despite some field challenges and a few last-minute changes, these young leaders, including Jared and Ashley (📸'd here) stepped up and made sure the experience was great, because that's what they do.

The simplest things...play, laughter, connection, high fives, and circle ups, are what it's all about. We're so grateful for these coach mentors and the joy they bring. 🙏

As many of you have seen, it’s been a pretty exciting week with the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund announcement, and we’re so incredibly grateful, focused, and motivated.

When we think back to starting with just 12 girls, moments like this feel pretty special.

Our high school girls' team picked up a great win last weekend in Wakefield, and one of the best parts happened off the field. We had a couple extra seats in the van, so our Director of Soccer Development invited our Grade 7 and 8 Wolverines to come watch.

A handful of girls joined and cheered on their older teammates. That’s been the goal from the beginning: creating opportunities, building connections, and making sure younger players can look up and see leaders who came through the same program.

Today, the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund awarded grants to its first group of community-based organizations providing children with access to quality education and sports — and we are happy to share that Beyond Soccer is one of those grantees!

Today we're celebrating all the moms, stepmoms, mother figures and caregivers who make a difference in the lives of young people every day.

A special shoutout to long-time Coach Mentor and former player, Melissa, who introduced what we hope becomes a new tradition: making sure every travel player received a rose to give to someone special in their life for Mother's Day.

Even though some games and programs were canceled, many players still received their roses. And that's because Coach Mentor Donovan went the extra mile, off the field, and delivered roses so his Grade 6 Lions squad could still take part.

To everyone who shows up with love, guidance, and support, Happy Mother's Day! 🌹⚽🧡💙

Impact Coordinator Declan attended yesterday's Most Valuable Coach (MVC) event in Boston hosted by The Center for Healing and Justice through Sport in partnership with The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation and GameChanger!

MVC is a coaching framework rooted in brain science that helps coaches build stronger relationships with young athletes ...because supportive coaching keeps kids in the game.

And during Mental Health Awareness Month, this reminder feels especially important: "Sport, done right, is one of the most powerful mental health interventions we have." - CHJS
