Congratulations Jessica Piedra, who was recognized this month by the Government of Mexico with the Premio Ohtli, for her years of work and success in persuading public universities in Missouri to admit undocumented students, as well as providing legal services in collaboration with the Consulate of Mexico in Kansas City since starting the non-profit law firm Immigration Professionals in 2012.

Food prices would increase an additional 5 percent to 6 percent over the next five years if enforcement-only policies were put into place, because of a lack of workers to harvest crops.
