If you have ever wondered how a local show can impact the economy in its host city, AKC works pretty hard to pull that data for every state.

Participation in dog sports, no matter the event, greatly impacts the local economy. Which means helping maintain local business’ ability to provide jobs across multiple industries- hospitality (hotels, restaurants, fast food etc), grocery stores, show vendors, facility staff etc. Your dollars don’t just support the host club, they support the entire ecosystem that helps it exist.

Our health clinics this past weekend were a huge success! We have already confirmed Dr. Sinn will be back with us next year!

While our amazing club members take a few days to recover from our show weekend, I wanted to take a moment and mention that we are always looking for new members!

In order for our show to function and grow, and to be able to be more present in our community, that requires people. People who love dogs. People who are knowledgeable, willing to learn and passionate about everything these amazing animals do. People who compete in AKC, people who just want to find a way to be involved- you name it, we sure would love to have you!

Meetings are typically the third week of the month- we have been trying different days of the weeks and locations/methodologies of delivering meetings (in-person/zoom etc).

If you are interested in attending a meeting, please comment or DM your email address and we can get you added to the email list for the next date/time/etc.

As they say in show business- That’s a wrap!

Thank you to every one who exhibited, volunteered, judged and jumped in when we needed an extra hand.

I am beyond proud of our club and our community. We hope to see everyone in 2027!

Good morning folks!

Yesterday was such a great day! I so appreciate everyone who came up to myself & our clubs members to express their appreciation for our work. It takes a village, and sometimes that gets lost along the way.

A huge congratulations to everyone who won yesterday! Our BIS line up was absolutely beautiful, and to see such a depth of quality at a small show, was so very nice.

Today is Sunday. The last “hoorah” as they say. Let’s make it a great one!

Good morning folks!

Despite my toddler doing her best to convince me that staying in bed was the better idea for my day (if you’d seen her, you’d know she is pretty hard to turn down), I have made it to the show.

Dunkin Donuts are at the club table. Please come get some!

Jason’s Deli is also serving breakfast this morning, and it smells amazing!

Friendly reminder to please please please pick up after your dogs. As many know and understand, keeping show sites is getting harder. We would like our club, and the other clubs who use this facility, to not lose that privilege.

If you see one of our club members or volunteers, te them thank you. They have worked tirelessly to make this show a success. It couldn’t happen without them all!

Be kind to each other. Hug your dog. And have an amazing day!

Set up day has been a success! Thank you to everyone for your patience & kindness.

The building will close at 9:30 tonight. It will open at 6 am tomorrow. I hear there is a donut fairy that might swing by 🍩🧚

I hope everyone has an amazing day tomorrow and leaves the ring with the best dog!

Good morning folks!

It’s officially here. The big shebang. Our show. Here is some basics if you have questions.

The building opens at 1pm today for exhibitors and vendors. I will be there to assist with finding reserved grooming and helping those who don’t have reserved grooming, find a good spot to set up. Just look for the tall lady with tattoos and a hot pink, sparkly Doberman shirt. I shouldn’t be hard to find 😅.

If you have questions about entries, schedules etc, please refrain from nasty emails. Onofrio controls all of that- so I have few answers and even less control. However, the judging program has been posted since last week and here is the link, if you aren’t sure when you show tomorrow or Sunday:

Health clinics- Eyes are tomorrow and first come/first serve. Please bring a cash or check. 9am-2pm. Plan accordingly.

Dr. Sinn might be able to still take some appointments. Please reach out to them directly. All information is in the premium.

And last but not least, please remember the AKC Code of Sportsmanship. That applies to how you treat our club members, judges, ring stewards & fellow exhibitors.

Remember shows are ran by people. Lovable, normal, fallible individuals. People who have given up time with their families, dogs, work etc to help put on an event. And that event is about the one common denominator we all have- a deep love of dogs. The ribbons are just a perk.

Be the person your dog thinks you are 🖤

We are ever so exciting to see everyone. Thank you thank you thank you for supporting our show. It means so much to us, that you chose to come here this weekend.

We are closing in on show weekend folks!

I’ve gotten a lot of phone calls from exhibitors the past few days, mainly in regards to questions about entries, of last minute entries can happen, who is eligible to show in what etc.

Hopefully I have been able to answer those questions well. I will ask that if you have questions before or after “normal” business hours, please send an email. I can be reached at [email protected] 🙂

Reserves grooming and RV confirmations should be going out this evening or tomorrow. Any questions regarding those can be sent to Amber, at [email protected]

I am excited to see everyone and wish all of our exhibitors the best of luck!
