Active Minds at the University of Kansas Active Minds is a student organization on campus dedicated to reducing the stigma surrounding mental illness.

We are the University of Kansas chapter of Active Minds, Inc. which focuses on education for mental health and ending stigmas around it. We work closely with KU CAPS, Headquarters Counseling Center, Bert Nash Mental Health Center, and several other organizations to help reach out to as many people as possible. We're already gearing up for World Semicolon Day 2018! Hundreds of tattoo shops are already on board to give free semicolon tattoos in cities all over the world. Germany, Asia, Canada and many more are expected to join in. World Semicolon Day is about Mental Health Awareness and inspiring the world to take action. It's not just punctuation, it's inspiring people to continue living. Keep writing... Your Story Isn't Over.

This app gives new meaning and power to the phrase "You're not alone". The new, groundbreaking, and free Project Semicolon app will release in January 2018. Here are a few of its features:

Android and IOS available.

Worldwide support for anyone, in any language.

Build and join support groups for any mental illness.

Sophisticated search functionality allows you to find Mental Health Professionals and Survivors of any mental illness. You can then communicate with them via chat or video.

Maintain anonymity, site wide, using pixelate technology that protects your identity. This allows you to talk about your issues with like-minded individuals and support staff - without worry.

Build your own personal support system of people who understand your struggles.
