What a fun day at the Kids Expo! 🎉🐾

Douglas County Crime Stoppers had a great time meeting so many local families, visiting with the kids, and spreading the word about Crime Stoppers. And of course, McGruff the Crime Dog was a big hit! 🐶👮‍♂️

We loved being part of such a great event filled with local organizations, resources, giveaways, and activities to help families kick off the new school year.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by to see us! We’re excited to see what this school year brings! 📚✏️

Supporting our community goes beyond solving crimes—it’s about investing in the people and organizations that make Douglas County a better place.

Douglas County Crime Stoppers was proud to present Prime Martial Arts with a $2,400 donation in support of their continued impact on local youth and families.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with businesses like Prime Martial Arts that are dedicated to building confidence, character, and a stronger community.

Together, we’re making Douglas County a safer, stronger place to live. 💙

🔺 The Three-Part Partnership That Makes Crime Stoppers Work 🔺

Crime Stoppers is built on a unique three-pronged approach that brings together:

🏘️ Community – Citizens who care about keeping our community safe and are willing to speak up.

📺 Media – Local media outlets and social media platforms that help share information, raise awareness, and keep important cases in front of the public.

👮 Law Enforcement – Officers and investigators who follow up on information and work to solve crimes.

When these three groups work together, crimes are solved, offenders are held accountable, and communities become safer.

We want to hear from you!

💬 How would you like to see these three partners working together in our community?

• More crime prevention and safety information?
• More case spotlights and updates?
• More community outreach and education?
• More opportunities to engage with local law enforcement?

Share your thoughts in the comments. Your feedback helps us strengthen the partnership between the Community, Media, and Law Enforcement.

🤔 Ever wondered what actually happens when you submit a Crime Stoppers tip?

Here’s how it works — simple, quick, and anonymous:

1️⃣ You submit a tip through the hotline
2️⃣ You’re given a unique tip number so that you don't have to give your identifying information
3️⃣ Law enforcement receives the information — not your identity
4️⃣ If your tip leads to an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward 💰

🔒 We don’t ask for your name
🔒 We don’t track your identity
🔒 You don’t testify in court

📌 Important: To be eligible for a reward, tips must be submitted through the official Crime Stoppers hotline: 785-843-TIPS (8477)

💬 Submitting a tip is quick and painless — and every tip matters, big or small. Save the hotline number to your phone so that when you see something, you can say something!
