Hey everyone - we saw another B**rs of the Kaw poster in the wild!

Thank you to Cottin's Hardware for spreading the word AND they even donated some gift certificates for Brewer Bingo!

What's Brewer Bingo? When you come to B**rs of the Kaw, fill up a Brewer Bingo card by visiting all the brewers (you don't have to drink), and we'll add you to a drawing for prizes like Cottin's gift certificates, river gear, FOK Nalgene bottles, and even a brand new tent from REI Co-op! It's almost time for the 11th Annual B**r of the Kaw, and today we want to highlight the food vendors that will be there - Terrebonne Cafe & Trav's BBQ!

While you're enjoying your b**r, be sure to get some amazing food from one of our food vendors (or both, we don't judge)! They will have tasty items available for purchase so no one has to leave early because they're hungry!

We love a good bioswale diorama!

During the final lesson of our in-school Youth Water Quality Education program, the students and teachers choose a Best Management Practice (BMP) to impliment on their school grounds. The goal of their BMP should be to improve water quality or teach others about water quality issues. It can be anything from picking up trash, to hanging posters around the school, to installing a rain garden.

Check out this fantastic educational BMP project from Indian Hills Middle School! They wanted to educate their fellow students about how water flows through their school campus and how plants slow and filter stormwater runoff. The students teamed up to made bioswale dioramas, and we think they're fantastic! The even hosted a Gallery Walk so all the students could view the dioramas and vote for their favorites.

We're posting a few of our favorites, but there are many many more. Great job, everyone! We love to see the creative ways teachers and students use the information from the program to create great projects!

Thank you to Johnson County, KS Government Stormwater Management Program for funding the program in Johnson County. Thanks to all of our volunteers for their hard work and to our fantastic school partners. It's been a great fall!
