Lawrence Central Rotary is a local service organization with weekly meeting on Wednesdays at noon with local and regional speakers. Rotary is an international service organization that helps individuals:
- Get involved in their communities
- Connect with other professionals
- Share their time and experience with young people
- Support global causes, such as eradicating polio

Elene Cloete, with Outreach International, inspired us at today's weekly meeting with stories of their projects around the world. Led by local community members, these projects have provided clean drinking water, access to toilets (vs. outside waste disposal which contaminates communities), and addressed many other significant community challenges.
