Fall registration is open for the Lawrence Civic Choir! Rehearsals begin on Monday, August 24th, 7--9pm at the First Baptist Church, 1330 Kasold Dr, Lawrence, KS 66049.

Formal auditions are not required, but singers must be able to read music and sing tunefully.

Miranda joined the choir and board in the spring of 2025. She was born in Kansas City but raised in Ottawa for most of her life. Outside of LCC, she usually has her nose in a book, hanging out with her fiancé, or gaming with friends. "I enjoy the sense of community and love for music LCC brings me." Come sing with Miranda this fall semester and register to join the choir! Baleigh joined the Lawrence Civic Choir in 2023, and joined the board in 2024. She was born and raised in Lawrence, Kansas. Outside of LCC, she works as an Aisles Online Manager at Hy-Vee. When not in rehearsal, she can be found perusing the Lawrence Public Library or enjoying nature with her boyfriend, Ethan. “The Lawrence Civic Choir reignited my love for choral music. I would be lost without this organization!”

We invite you to join our fall chorus!

The Lawrence Civic Choir, a non-profit arts organization formed in 1975, welcomes area singers who love to perform serious, four-part choral music under professional direction. There are no formal auditions, but singers must be able to read music and sing tunefully.

December’s concert will feature challenging yet accessible pieces that will satisfy your desire to perform fine choral music. The performance will include Vivaldi's Gloria with orchestral accompaniment, collaboration with the Lawrence Community Handbell Choir, and other seasonal choral classics under the direction of Steve Eubank.

REGISTRATION
Begins Aug. 24 and remains open through Sept. 14 (no registration or rehearsal on Labor Day). Please arrive 6–6:45 p.m. to complete registration and obtain sheet music. Registration may be submitted and paid online here, or in-person.


Tuition: $80* non-students | $50* students (w/valid student ID)
Optional $20 donation sought to help cover new sheet music purchase costs this semester
*Includes $20 refundable deposit upon return of loaned sheet music.
Financial assistance for tuition is available; please inquire in-person at registration.

Concert Attire: Members must own/purchase either the current designated dress (style adopted in 2022), or own/purchase a tuxedo that conforms with requirements.
