April has been designated as National Native Plant Month across the US to inspire awareness of native plants in all ecoregions across the country.

It's official: April 2026 is National Native Plant Month!

As a supporting organization in all six New England states, Native Plant Trust is pleased to spread the word. "National recognition of native plants underscores their importance in supporting all life on this planetβ€”bees and butterflies, song birds and salamanders, and fish and mammals, including human beings," says Native Plant Trust CEO Tim Johnson. "By highlighting and celebrating the unique flora of our country, flora that adapted and evolved into a dynamic, diverse, and resilient web of life that sustain our economy and heal our souls, we offer the opportunity for all citizens to deepen their relationship with the natural world and create a path to reversing climate change and protecting the ecosystems that nurture humanity."

Thanks to Senators Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS, lead sponsor) and Mazie Hirono (D-HI, bipartisan cosponsor) for spearheading this year's congressional resolution. For more information about Native Plant Month, visit https://nationalnativeplantmonth.org/

April is the last month to order conservation trees for the spring, and that is no joke! Many shrubs and deciduous trees are still available, along with some evergreen species.

As a reminder, our headhouse is under construction, which will interrupt our sales schedule:
πŸ‚ Fall 2026: No conservation tree sale due to construction.

πŸͺ» Spring 2027: Sale will resume with bareroot stock only. Containerized evergreens (conifers) will not be available this season.

🌲 Fall 2027: We expect to offer containerized deciduous trees and shrubs, but no conifer species will be available at this time.

Now is a great time to stock up on trees. Order now: https://buff.ly/QzLi7By
