We are sadden to announce that one of our sisters has passed away after a long struggle with cancer. If you know Joann Hootz and wish to attend her funeral, here is the information.

Lawrence Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter will be gathering next Saturday and here is the reminder/information.

WHAT: Spring Coffee, Scrapbooking & Flower Pick-up
WHERE: Kathy Chaney - hostess
WHEN: Saturday, May 2,2026
TIME: 10:00 A.M.
WHAT TO BRING: A smile, checkbook to pay dues ($30) and geraniums if ordered, and grocery cards for Dillons or Checkers will be available for purchase, scrapbook supplies you are willing to share (scissors, glue, embellishments/stickers, pens or markers) and words of encouragement for the new officers
WHAT DO I NEED TO DO: Please make arrangements with Kathy prior to Friday afternoon, May 1st, if you DID geraniums & WILL NOT be picking them up Saturday morning. This will help Kathy and me with food planning too.
ONGOING PROJECTS: Prescription bottles (labels removed) for Humane Society, old or used candles and cans with the pop-top lid for the homeless project

There is nothing like a little chocolate to improve anyone and everyone's day especially after Greek Week! Thanks to Betty Johnson for delivering emergency support to Delta Omega Chapter following Greek Week at Ft. Hays.

We always have a great time when the sisters and their spouses meet for lunch and the Theater. This year we had lunch at Johnnie's West (one of our favorite places!), and then went to see "THE COTTAGE". Everyone had a wonderful time!

Our donations to the Lions Food Bank. Phil & Jodi delivered the food donations to the Lion’s Pantry at Lansing Middleton School. We met Shirley Painton, who is in charge of the pantry. She gave us a tour and the 15 year history of the pantry. She was so grateful for the donations.

March will soon be here. That means our chapter is off to lunch and Theater Lawrence to see The Cottage.

Our Red Party (Valentine's) was a major success! The theme: Wine and Chocolate, and what could be better! And, this year we donated items (food and other things) to the Lansing Lions in Lansing, Kansas. Such fun, and such a worthwhile endeavor!

It's that time of year again - Red Party Time! This year our party is going to be wonderful for those that LOVE chocolate and wine! (Who doesn't). Here are our alumni's invitation!
You and whomever are cordially invited to the DZ Wine and Chocolate February 13, 2026 party. Please bring a dish that will enhance a wine or chocolate selection. If you enjoy wine please bring a bottle; if not, there will be Mike's Hard lemonade, water, coke, 7up, and Coconut water.
Will have a Hot Chocolate Bar for those Chocolate Lovers.
Our professional Corinne will have games around chocolate for the group. These could have prizes for the winner or winning team, you just never know.
