Thursday, June 22nd, 6:30 p.m.."From the Ashes" captures Americans in communities across the country as they wrestle with the legacy of the coal industry and what its future should be under the Trump administration. From Appalachia to the West’s Powder River Basin, the film goes beyond of the "war on coal" to present compelling and often heartbreaking stories about what's at stake for our economy, health and climate. The film invites audiences to learn more about an industry on the edge and what it means for their lives."

This is a video for everyone who lives with depression. And friends, we all do...through first hand experience, through the people we love, and/or through the courageous friends we will make in a lifetime and lose in a lifetime. My friend's name was David Arvay and I said goodbye to him when he was 24. My brother in-law's name was Dano DeJong and I said goodbye to him 14 years ago. There was my grandmother, I never had the chance to meet her. Yet there are more names I know and love that are hearts living through depression and for this I offer gratitude and love. I work at Ecumenical Campus Ministries (ECM) and I hope when the sun beckons you through our doors that you find compassion, community, and something for your soul here.
