Weavers 2025
Greetings to all Jolly Elves! Reaching out to let you know we again have an opportunity to "do good" and have fun this Christmas Season. Previous years went so well that an encore has been requested by Joe and Brady Flannery to again be the official Weaver's Santa this year. Our dear friend and favorite Santa, he of the "crimson suit, lush beard, and hearty laugh" needs help! Santa has gotten permission from Weaver's to offer parents, who bring their kiddos to visit him, a special photo in a custom digital frame that we will make available to the parents online within a few days of their visit. Although no cost to families, we will suggest a freewill donation (perhaps $5 per child), with all proceeds to be given to the Boys and Girls Club for the Don & Bev Gardner Center.
Santa asks for ELVES to be on hand to a) take the photos (a DSLR camera will be provided and poised on a tripod. ELVES just need to "click" a few times.), b) to help with the line, families, kids and, c) take donations and assist with card swipes, as this year we can accept Venmo, CC, as well as cash & checks.
ELVES may sign up for a single shift, but really, why not stay for two or more and “Elf” with a friend or two? One Elf can fill a shift alone but wouldn’t it be easier and more fun if there were two, three, or more ELVES at each shift? We found last year there was plenty of help needed! And, of course, more fun for the children, parents, and us.
If you want to dress up; Elves, Reindeer, Trees, Gifts, and Christmas sweaters are all appropriate. Maybe you own a Buddy the Elf costume and can wear that. There will be an elf hat available for use if needed while helping. Again, not required, just hoped. Assuming we get multiple helpers at a time, perhaps one could interact with the parents, one could handle donations, and one can click the shutter.
