Hey all!
Our flagship program for youth dance scholarships is accepting application now at https://www.sunflowerstatedancealliance.org

This provides partial scholarships to youth whose families would not be able to afford dance otherwise.

Due next Friday July 17.

Who is eligible?
🌻 those receiving WIC or SNAP
🌻 children receiving KANcare
🌻 children receiving free or reduce lunch

Paint & Sip FUNdraiser supporting our mission at Sunflower State Dance Alliance INC of making dance accessible to all.

Join us for a relaxed, creative afternoon where a talented local artist will guide us step-by-step in painting a beautiful sunflower—no experience needed! Bring your favorite beverage (BYOB), and we’ll provide the rest (…except your drink 😉).

We were able to secure enough funding for this month for our hardship fund. THANK YOU DONORS.
We still have a need for next month.

While keeping their privacy, I can tell you these two families are facing job loss. These are two wonderful families that just need a little help while figuring out what’s next.

In a time of uncertainty in the household, children need consistency and structure that regular weekly dance classes can provide. This is why we created this hardship fund. So no child has to stop dancing due to things they can’t control and no parent has to stop giving their child the gift of dance when hard times happen.

What is our hardship fund?
A specific scholarship fund to help families who are experiencing job loss, injury/illness causing loss of income, or loss of family member.

Why now?
We have a currently have two wonderful families that are experiencing financial hardship right now due to job loss and we are asking for your help to meet those needs so these dancers can finish out the season. As we as a nonprofit are finishing up our scholarship season, our funds are depleted, in order for us to help we need to raise the funds.

Why is this important?
Dance provides stability to young people even in unknown times. This hardship scholarship gives a huge sense of community to those who are experiencing a stressful time. A warm hug that says "we got your back!"

At SSDA, we believe every child deserves the chance to dance, grow, and belong especially during hard times.

Sometimes families face unexpected hardships, and when they do, we want to be there.

Our Hardship Scholarship Fund helps ensure that dancers can continue moving, learning, and finding joy even when families are facing unexpected hardships such as job loss, injury, and loss.
