Go Wiiiiiiillll!

We are excited to welcome Will Averill as our new Director of Communications and Operations!

Will has over ten years of experience in local nonprofits, including The Ballard Center, Community Children’s Center, Mid-America Arts Alliance, and The Willow Domestic Violence Center.

Across those roles, he has helped organizations tell their stories more effectively, strengthen internal systems, raise money, build community partnerships, and occasionally figure out how to make an ambitious idea work with approximately twelve dollars and three days’ notice.

A proud graduate of the Leadership Lawrence Class of 2023, Will remains deeply involved in the Lawrence community. He is an active member of the Rotary Club of Lawrence, a proud co-boss of Lawrence's Nerd Nite, and has served in a variety of nonprofit, arts, and community leadership roles.

Outside of work, Will is a published playwright and author, theatre director, storyteller, and longtime Lawrence troublemaker-for-good. Will lives down by the river with his wife, Jacqueline, 11-going-on-67-year-old son, and their giant, floofy, best girl Pyrenees, Daisy.

I didn’t think I had the right formula for a newborn today, but it turned out to be the right kind and like a big ass container. 😍🥰😌 Aaand grandma happened to live in the same area as the storage unit I was going to pay on, that we covered earlier in the month. 😭😭😭🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾

Plus two families secure in their homes for the month. Great Sunday ya’ll. I fu**in love ya! Catch you Wednesday with a new request. I’m spacing them out based on billing and my energy. 😍

Thanks for everyone’s patience as we get well. I’m behind on rent for the shop so I’ll be focused on that personally, but the new hours have been adjusted for the week. I’ll put it in the comments.

It may be spooky season but we are going to do our best to keep the fear to the movies, haunted houses and awesome Halloween costumes we will see downtown! And away from our neighbors thoughts about rent, food or whatever we have coming up.

I apologize for having to cancel in person appointments this week. Saturday is still open as the kiddo won’t be with me.

Thanks for your patience. My vehicle is finally running again. I will update the shop hours for the week today 🙂. Shops is always closed Mondays and most often Fridays and Sundays.

Shopping appointment. Please confirm in advance if other guests are coming. It’s a smaller space so no more than 3 please. My child will often be there as I homeschool. If you have sniffles or hard been ill recently please mask. 😷 I can’t run the shop if I’m not healthy! If you are wanting ...
