We are proud to welcome Olathe School Workers United to our Union CWA Local 6400. Last night they showed up in numbers (70 + in fact) to show the Olathe school board their power and seven workers told their personal stories and expressed why the Union is important to them. What a night!

I am proud of the work that we have done in our union and I know there is is so much more to learn as we keep building PAL/CWA Local 6400 to be the strongest we can be but also to be an leader to other unions in Kansas.

One of the things I like most about organizing is going into the schools and meeting other classified staff members and providing them an opportunity to be heard. I think it is very important that all of us know that our voices are being heard and together we will continue to make our working conditions the best we can make them.

There is power in our voice when we all come together to make our school environment the best it can be for everyone. We are not only fighting for our classified staff but to make our schools better for all of our students that we serve.

Big news! 📣 KAC and its staff union have ratified its first contract! We came together through the bargaining process to produce a contract that will support current and future staff as they continue advocating on behalf of Kansas kids and families. The staff union is a member of CWA Local 6400.
