The Lawrence REALTORS® Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3), and is the charitable arm of the Lawrence Board of REALTORS®.
We return 100% of our fundraising event proceeds to the community to support housing programs for jeopardized households.
The Lawrence REALTORS® Community Foundation has supported local charitable organizations with programs that help stabilize jeopardized households within Douglas County. Everyone should have an opportunity to have a safe place to call home.
Since becoming a 501(c)(3) in July 2018, the Lawrence REALTORS® Community Foundation has awarded over $130,000 to local non-profit charitable organizations, as well as over $52,000 in housing assistance following the 2019 tornado that hit Douglas County.
Past recipients include 100 Good Women, Artists Helping the Homeless, Ballard Center, Douglas County Housing Authority, Family Promise of Lawrence, Housing & Credit Counseling, Insight Women's Center, Lawrence Community Shelter, Lawrence Habitat for Humanity, Lawrence Schools Foundation IC.A.N. Program, O'Connell Children's Shelter, Salvation Army of Douglas County, Social Service League, Tenants to Homeowners, The Shelter (DBA The Children's Shelter), Senior Resource Center, and Willow Domestic Violence Center.
