Father’s Day is almost here, and I keep thinking about how different the “perfect gift” might actually look. I don’t think most dads are hoping for another tie this year.

More often than not, it feels like what they really want is simple:
good food, unhurried conversation, and time with the people they love.

Nothing complicated. Nothing performative. Just a table, some laughter, and a moment to slow down together.

Maybe that’s the beauty of it—Father’s Day doesn’t have to be elaborate to be meaningful.

Sometimes the best way we can celebrate is simply by gathering.

As we wrap up this season, our prayer for you is simple: enjoy the summer. ☀️🤍

Be present with the people you love. Notice the small moments. Laugh a little longer. Stay at the table a little longer. Create memories that will matter long after the season ends.

Practice kindness. Open your home. Extend hospitality. Love people well.

And don't spend so much time working that you miss the life you're working for.

As Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:4, "Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!"

Genesis 2:24 tells us to “cleave” to one another — to hold tightly, to pursue intentionally. But somewhere between responsibilities, routines, and everyday life, it can become easy to stop pursuing the person we love most.

Strong marriages don’t thrive on autopilot. They grow when two people continue showing up for each other again and again.

Not because things are falling apart… but because your relationship is worth nurturing before it gets there.

After almost 40 years of marriage, one thing we know for sure:
