Oatmeal raisin cookies are Damon’s favorite, and this is the recipe I make for him. The little secret? Soaking the raisins with the eggs and vanilla before they ever make it into the dough. It makes such a difference. They’re soft, chewy full of cinnamon and loaded with raisins. Just a really good, old fashioned cookie, the kind that never lasts very long around our house. We see all the little things it takes to get to that place and we say thank you and well done. For consistently showing up and doing what it takes to make something out of nothing.

Nothing quite beats the expectation of Autumn after the long hot days of summer. Things start to slow down, the holidays are just around corner, and sitting around the table with family and friends seems much more feasible! Whether you’re hosting a coffee morning, game night, or holiday get together, the perfect tablescape is sure to set the mood!
