Lawnside Town Watch had a great time out in the community yesterday. We were taking part in the Lawnside School District’s Back 2 School Bonanza. It was a well attended event sponsored by the Lawnside Board of Education. We were happy to support them and visit the vendors. It was good to have another opportunity to dispense safety information and other helpful resources to everyone who stopped by our table.

Official judges for the Lawnside Centennial BBQ Competition: Qawi! 🍗 😋

Shoutout to Qawi (on behalf of Lawnside Town Watch), who took on the tough (and delicious!) job of judging the BBQ Competition!

Co-hosted by the Lawnside Police Department and South Jersey Street Legends, Qawi took his judging duties seriously as he scored 5 amazing competitors on their chicken and ribs. After the official scores were in, there was plenty of free BBQ to feed the community!

To top it all off, Qawi’s famous cornbread was such a hit that three of the BBQ competitors asked to place orders!

Good times, great fellowship, and tasty BBQ!!! 😃

An Incredible Day at the Lawnside Centennial BBQ Competition! 🍗

Huge shoutout to the Lawnside Police Department and the South Jersey Street Legends for putting on such a fantastic community event and a big thank you to everyone who supported it!

This event really brought back the rich history of Lawnside’s legendary BBQ spots reminding us of the days when people traveled from far and wide just to get a taste and have a great time in our town.

Join Us for Lawnside’s National Night Out - Tuesday, Aug 4th!

A huge thank you to the Lawnside Town Watch - National Night Out committee! In just a short amount of time, we’ve worked hard to organize a fantastic community event for us all to enjoy. Outstanding work by everyone involved!

Join us Tuesday, August 4th from 5pm to 8pm at the Lawnside Park for: live DJ, line dancing, Lawnside police, fire trucks, face painting, bouncy house, yard games, classic cars, free food, community groups and food trucks!

Bring your family, lawn chairs, and good vibes. Say hello to your neighbors, dance a little, and let’s celebrate Lawnside!
