Thank you to everyone who came to visit us at Bird events of Texas. We appreciate each donation made. We received our first surrenders today and will post them once they have completed quarantine. There are 13 parakeets in need of a home.

I'd like to introduce Gizmo, a 23-year-old Senegal parrot. When we adopted him three years ago at 20, he had been cage-bound for 9 years and needed to relearn flight. Gizmo experienced trust issues for roughly 9-12 months after adoption. Now, Gizmo loves flying and hanging out with us, especially when watching TV. Through his progress, we've discovered the joy of earning trust, particularly with an older bird - it's an experience like no other.
