The founder of Zuri’s Circle asked if we could build 20 garden beds and have it done before school started for the kids at Peoria Elementary School. We could not pass on this opportunity to provide the youth participation in this fun project. These kids deserve all the kudos for learning a new skill and putting it to use! Thank you Zuri’s Circle for the opportunity and You Matter Too for lending a hand. We cannot do this without the willingness of a community who is ready to make changes. To the youth who participate “I want you to know that you are making a difference in hundreds of kids lives who will be learning an essential skill on how to garden.”

Teens making garden beds for Zuri’s Circle. They help the elementary school with teaching the students to learn and see the process of vegetables and fruits grow. Exciting stuff!! I am so proud of these guys learning new skills to build and putting their work into action. This is what we do, we teach them the skill and then they get the opportunity to apply it.

Ajentfoot is partnering with Zuri’s Circle to help rebuild garden beds for the P. Elementary school.

Here are pictures of our demolition to the old garden beds to make way for the new ones.

Dear Student,


This is your chance to apply for the Maricopa Community Colleges Nina Mason Pulliam Legacy Scholars program, which is accepting applications through Wednesday, March 1, 2023.


The Nina Scholars program provides financial opportunities for Maricopa Community Colleges students who would not normally receive traditional academic scholarships.


The benefits
· Full tuition, fees, and reimbursement for book costs for up to four years.
· $3,200 towards annual living expenses.
· Access to an assigned academic mentor.
· Access to student success workshops.
· The opportunity to transfer to ASU’s Nina Scholars Program.


Who qualifies?
You must be a current Maricopa Community Colleges student and meet at least one of the following criteria, such as having:


· One or more dependents in your household.
· A physical disability.
· Experienced foster care and are now responsible for your own financial support.
· Disconnected from your parents or primary caregiver and are now responsible for your own financial support.


Plus
· Have completed less than 25 credits.
· Be earning your first degree.
· Be a U.S. citizen and Arizona resident.
· Be able to demonstrate financial need.
