Sharing this because it actually JUST happened to a friend of mine in Toms River.

I received a call today from a person claiming he was with Ocean County Sheriff's office. He said my name and knew our address. Then he said it was a courtesy call to let me know that because I didn't show up for Grand Jury twice, they were sending a deputy to my house to detain me. I let him talk, I said I never received any kind of jury notice etc. but he kept talking, he said I am not here to coerse you but you need to let us come over for due process. Yes, I was very shaken, and handed Jim the phone. He asked, who is your supervisor, and then the dead air.
The number was a Toms River number and when we called it back, vm answered OC Sheriffs office but no extensions. I then called The Sheriff's office and before I finished talking, I was told it's a fraud and many people are falling for it. I was really glad I talked to them.
The callers are from out of the country and somehow they got into the computers to actually have their exact voice mail.They wanted bit coin to complete "due process". What threw me, was they had my name and address.
I am spreading this word as they are very convincing and hope no one loses any money from this scam!🚨🚨
