Scotland County Anti-Litter This committee goes beyond litter and beautification to focus on promoting a 'greener' community. What do we mean by protecting our environment?

This is the efforts of the GREEN Committee of the Laurinburg/Scotland County Area Chamber of Commerce. Our focus is on making Scotland County more attractive and protecting our environment. We are asking everyone to become a part of our anti-litter campaign. Just try to remember, a little at a time eventually makes a big difference. It means any actions or activities that result in a positive impa

ct on the environment, so that the planet can continue to support present and future generations. It includes eliminating toxins from our environment; as well as displacing purely destructive habits.

This week, our team from Scotland County Health and Human Services proudly participated in the Litter Sweep. They got to work making our community cleaner and greener!

Along the way, we came across a few unexpected finds 👀including a Richmond Community College ID and a Lineman Program shirt (photos attached!).

Every piece of litter picked up makes a difference. 🌎✨
