Sandhills Development Center, Inc. is a non-profit organization that understands the importance of providing academic as well as social support to our youth in order to facilitate the development of healthy social skills, behavioral lifestyles, and improved scholarship. Sandhills Development Center, Inc. is committed to providing the necessary resources to our youth in order for them to achieve excellence as well as a solidified positive representation of themselves. Our goal is to positively impact the lives of our youth through the creation and implementation of dynamic programs that will result in the achievement and maintenance of academic success, an increase in self and public awareness, and a decrease in maladaptive behaviors.

Dear Friends:

We are reaching out to our dearest friends of past and present and everyone we know who cares about our youth to consider pledging a generous relief gift that will help fund our no cost community afterschool program. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our annual free summer camp is not able to take place this year, so our focus has shifted to concentrating on the upcoming school year where the free afterschool program would be the most beneficial for the youth.

Our afterschool program offers tutoring to children ages 6-18, afternoon snacks, mentorship, and exposure to higher learning opportunities and other cultures. None of these kids can afford tutoring and afterschool support otherwise, so our impact is felt in the community as we are providing a needed service to children who would not be given the same opportunity without us. Sandhills Development Center, Inc is dedicated to empowering underserved North Carolina youth to positively contribute to the development of themselves and their communities; with your donation we can continue to serve this targeted population.

We are asking for donations with a minimum amount of $5.00, but would love if you could donate more. Individuals, agencies, or organizations donating to the agency will have their donation contribution recognized on our website and social media outlets into sponsor categories of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Bronze contributors are donation amounts under $100; Silver contributors are donation amounts under $500; Gold contributors are donation amounts under $1,000; and Platinum contributors are donation amounts of $1,000 and up. Sandhills Development Center, Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization; therefore, your donation is 100% tax deductible and will receive a receipt to be able to claim your tax deduction after payment is received.

Payments can be sent to the P.O. Box 2153 Laurinburg, NC 28352; Cash app $SDC201; drop off cash in person to Laurinburg office. All donations are welcome big or small, it allows us to be one step ahead in providing for our youth. Please help us with sharing the word!
