Memory Lane

Memory Lane Memory Lane is a project of Vision Laurens, which is a committee dedicated to beautifying Laurens and improving its quality of life.

On May 25, 2010, the Vision Laurens committee decided to ask permission from the Laurens City Council to make the bare lot next to The House of Print into a “pocket park.” The very next day, Al Petersen ( who was on the Vision Laurens committee) was killed and the decision was made to make the bare lot into a memorial park. Efforts immediately began to raise funds through donations and the sale o

f engraved bricks that will be in the path that will wind through the park. Bricks are purchased to honor and remember loved ones; recognize groups, classes, organizations, and businesses (new and old); and for favorite quotes.

We are planning on engraving more bricks this fall; so if you want your brick to be one of the ones that are engraved, contact Peggy Milton, 841-4645.
