Open to the public as well as campers.

7:30pm - 10:00 pm .......even if it rains!!
Meet at the Pine Lake Shelter parking lot.
Asking for a suggested $5 donation per person
This trail is not recommended for small children.
The trail is through our forest so we do recommend walking shoes.

*NEW THIS YEAR* TAR HOLLOW CHILI COOKOFF
Friday Oct 18th 2024
Location: Big Shelter
Please bring your pot of chili to the Big Shelter between 5:15 pm - 5:30pm to be judged.
All the pots of chili will be served to the campers at 6pm along with hot dogs and hot apple cider.
Winner of the Chili Cookoff will be announced Saturday Oct 19th at 7:30pm when all other contest winners are announced.
This contest is for campers only.

The Friends of Tar Hollow will have a planning meeting for Mt Heritage next Monday August 19th at 6:00 pm. We will meet at the Big Shelter House. Everyone is welcome.

We are also selling Water Guns Super Soaker Blasters for the kid and adults alike at the parks Water Days.

Our Tar Hollow Water Days is this Saturday July 27th from 1-4 Pm. Lots of fun for the entire family!!
The Friends of Tar Hollow Inc. will be selling Rootbeer floats, water, hot dogs and fries.... cash sales only.
You may want to bring towels and possibly a change of clothing. We will have our employees out directing traffic and a wagon to bring you to the fun!

Due to unforeseen reasons our Friends Group Meeting for tomorrow has been canceled. It is rescheduled for June 24 at 6:00 pm at the park. We will meet at the Big Shelter House.
