The Destruction of the Temple and Signs of the End Times

24 Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings. 2 “Do you see all these things?” he asked. “Truly I tell you, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down.”

3 As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

4 Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. 5 For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. 6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

15 “So when you see standing in the holy place ‘the abomination that causes desolation,’[a] spoken of through the prophet Daniel—let the reader understand— 16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let no one on the housetop go down to take anything out of the house. 18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak. 19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath. 21 For then there will be great distress, unequaled from the beginning of the world until now—and never to be equaled again.

22 “If those days had not been cut short, no one would survive, but for the sake of the elect those days will be shortened. 23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ do not believe it. 24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. 25 See, I have told you ahead of time.

26 “So if anyone tells you, ‘There he is, out in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Here he is, in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. 27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. 28 Wherever there is a carcass, there the vultures will gather.

29 “Immediately after the distress of those days

“‘the sun will be darkened,
and the moon will not give its light;
the stars will fall from the sky,
and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’[b]
30 “Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth[c] will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.[d] 31 And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other.

32 “Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. 33 Even so, when you see all these things, you know that it[e] is near, right at the door. 34 Truly I tell you, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened. 35 Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Racing with Grace: Seeing God in Action on and off the Track 🏁🙏
The world can often feel heavy with negativity, but true light always breaks through when we choose to look for it, just like what Goose always says. When people step up to show love and kindness, it is a direct reflection of God at work inside them—and that is something worth making a big deal about!

Recently, we witnessed that exact kind of divine love in motion right within our own racetrack family.

One of our dedicated security guards in Pimlico, Baltimore recently faced a massive trial, falling into a diabetic coma for a month. By the grace of God, he pulled through, but he was left facing hard times and came dangerously close to homelessness, sleeping on the floor.

Thanks to a powerful connection with the Church of Severn Run, who generously supplied mattresses and groceries, and the incredible hearts of Capt. Mike Latham, Jose, Julio, and the Love Wins Movement, help was delivered straight to Baltimore. Because of these brothers stepping up, our friend no longer has to sleep on the ground.

When our brother received the delivery, he was moved to tears, knowing that God had heard his prayers and sent believers from the racetrack to take care of one of our own.

Tonight was something special, the Holy Spirit moved in a very special way.

He shared that we don’t have to be kept in bo***ge like this woman for 18 yrs , Jesus touched her and she was set free.

There were brothers in attendance that were weeping in the presence of the Lord , God surely visited Laurel Park in a way barely experienced.
This is why I do this , to see God touch, heal , comfort someone in need , its nothing short of miraculous when the Spirit of God moves in our midst the way he did tonight.
Praise be to the father in heaven for he is gracious, his mercies endureth forever.

2 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving and Prayer
3 We ought always to thank God for you,brothers and sisters,[b] and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and the love all of you have for one another is increasing.4 Therefore, among God’s churches we boastabout your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring.
5 All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief oto you who are troubled, and to us as well. To the Family at Laurel Park,
Every single morning, long before the sun comes up, I see the incredible grit, patience, and dedication it takes to do the work you do. Racetrack life is demanding. The hours are long, the weather is unpredictable, and the physical toll is heavy. Sometimes, it can feel like you are invisible to the rest of the world, or like your hard work goes completely unnoticed.
But I want to remind you of what Paul writes to a tired, struggling community in 2 Thessalonians 1. He didn't focus on a fancy building or a traditional church setting. Instead, he praised the people because their faith was growing exceedingly and their love for one another was actively multiplying right where they were.
That is exactly who we are here at Laurel Park. We are an unofficial church, but a completely real one, because the church is made of people, not brick and mortar.
Here is what God’s Word says to you today in your daily labor:
* God sees your unseen endurance (v. 3-4): Every early morning, every heavy bale of hay, every cold winter day, and every quiet act of kindness in the barns is fully known to God. Your resilience is a powerful testimony.
*
* God promises you ultimate rest (v. 7): When your body aches and the routine feels relentless, remember that this weariness is not your final destination. God explicitly promises a deep, supernatural, and everlasting rest to those who rely on Him.

* God establishes your true worth (v. 5, 11): Your value is never defined by a license, a paycheck, or how a supervisor treats you. You are deeply worthy in the eyes of the King of Kings. He calls you by name, and He has a purposeful, divine destiny for your life.

* God is glorified in the ordinary (v. 12): You do not need a pulpit to serve God. The backstretch is holy ground. When you care for the horses with integrity, lift up a coworker who is having a rough day, and keep your faith through the exhausting shifts, Jesus is vividly glorified right here in the stables.

We are one body, bound together by love and faith, looking out for one another in the middle of the daily grind. Thank you for your faith. Thank you for your labor. You are God's church in this place.

His sister shared the Word of God and she touched on the aspect of carrying your own cross: I saw the Word resonate with our people there. Racetrack life is really challenging, the load carried is sometimes overwhelming but if our eyes are focused on Jesus , our feet will take us where we are focused and thats where we meet Jesus on e on one and its in that moment he lends a helping hand carry the load and if necessary carry you.

We are also deeply grateful to “Love Wins” for their kindness in providing pantry supplies that bring blessings to many at Laurel Park. God bless our faithful community that comes together every Wednesday evening for dinner and God's Word.
