To the families, friends, and supporters of our newest candidates—thank you for trusting the Capital Guardian Youth ChalleNGe Academy to be part of this incredible journey.

Many of you may be wondering, "What is my candidate doing?" The answer is...quite a lot!

Since arriving, Class 67 has been hard at work learning the foundations that will help them succeed both at the Academy and in life. Their days are filled with:

Drill & Ceremony (D&C)
💪 Physical fitness and wellness training
🤝 Team-building activities that foster trust and teamwork
🛏️ Learning to make military-style bunks and maintain living spaces
📚 Understanding Academy policies, expectations, and personal responsibility
💙 Practicing respect for themselves, their peers, and staff
🌱 Learning healthy ways to cope with change, overcome challenges, and build resilience

And this is only the beginning!

Every lesson, every challenge, and every accomplishment is helping your candidate develop confidence, discipline, leadership, and the life skills needed for a brighter future.

We know this transition can be exciting and emotional for families, but your encouragement and support make a world of difference. Thank you for cheering them on as they embrace this life-changing opportunity.

Today marks the beginning of an incredible journey for our Class 67 Candidates, and we are excited to officially welcome them to the Capital Guardian Youth ChalleNGe Academy!

Today is our Candidates Official first day on grounds and are ready to begin an experience filled with growth, learning, teamwork, and personal development. Over the next few days, they will be actively learning about the program, and adjusting to their new environment. These first two weeks will be the most challenging as they settle into the Academy and embrace this new chapter.

💙 Help keep your Candidate motivated! If you haven't already, send them an encouraging email. Your words of support can make a huge difference during these first few weeks. (no limitations on email, send as many as you would like)

• All emails are screened by Academy staff before being distributed. Please keep messages positive and free of inappropriate language.
• Candidates will not be responding to emails. Instead, look forward to receiving handwritten letters from your Candidate in the coming weeks.
• If there is ever a need to communicate important or concerning information, please refer to your Parent Handbook for the appropriate process to ensure your Candidate receives the proper support.
• We'll be sharing photos throughout the cycle to help keep you connected and updated on your Candidate's journey!
