WE DID IT! Over 500+ kilograms of trash removed from our local coastline today!
When the Bess International Foundation team set out early this morning, we knew we had a big task ahead. But seeing our community, volunteers, and team come together—shoulder to shoulder, gloved hands ready—was nothing short of inspiring.
Here is what we accomplished TOGETHER today:
500+ kg of waste collected and sorted
120+ kg of plastic directed straight to local recycling hubs
3 kilometers of natural habitat restored
80+ amazing volunteers who showed up and gave it their all!
Every single plastic bottle, stray wrapper, and abandoned tire we picked up today means a safer environment for local wildlife and a cleaner, healthier space for our families.
Change doesn't happen by accident—it happens when everyday people decide to make a difference.
Thank you to every volunteer, partner, and supporter who made today’s cleanup campaign an overwhelming success. This is just the beginning!

Leadership isn't about giving orders from a corner office—it’s about rolling up your sleeves when it matters most!
This weekend, the executive team at BESS International traded suits, spreadsheets, and boardrooms for work gloves, grabbers, and trash bags at Granville Gude Park & Lakehouse in Laurel, MD!
What We Accomplished:
* Cleared over 150 lbs of trash and debris along the shoreline and walking trails.
* Restored key green spaces around the lake so families can enjoy a cleaner, safer park.
* Proved that real leadership starts right in our local community.
True impact happens when you show up for the places you call home. Seeing our leadership team working side-by-side with local volunteers, laughing through the mud, and making a tangible difference was the best reminder of what BESS International stands for: Action, Responsibility, and Community.
A huge thank you to the City of Laurel and every team member who spent their weekend giving back. We’re just getting started!
