This past Thursday, Paramedics Lyndy and Troy had the honor to be present at the Tree of Life Moving Memorial as it stopped in Bridger, Montana, to honor Everett Edwards, a volunteer who tragically lost his life while responding to a call. Paramedic Troy also had the honor of singing the national anthem for this event.

The Tree of Life Moving Memorial is a traveling memorial that will cover approximately 10,000 miles this year, bringing recognition to EMS providers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving others.

The Tree of Life Moving Memorial not only honors those we have lost, but also raises awareness of the need for a permanent national EMS memorial. It serves as a powerful reminder of the dedication, sacrifice, and commitment demonstrated every day by EMS professionals across the country.

Thank you to everyone involved in bringing the memorial to Montana and ensuring that our fallen EMS heroes are never forgotten.

Did you know certain medications can impact how well you tolerate higher temperatures? As we head into summer, make sure to stay hydrated with water, wear a hat and sunscreen while outside and limit your time in direct sunlight if you take these medications.

Each year we have the opportunity to say THANK YOU to our crew members who show up each and every day to be here for the community.

This year’s theme, “Improving Outcomes, Together,” is an opportunity to focus on the many ways EMS professionals work together and across disciplines—with 911, healthcare, public health, fire service, law enforcement, and others—in the best interests of patients.

We’re very fortunate to have the support we do not only from our community, but also that of our law enforcement and firefighters. It truly is a team effort to bring the very best care to you, and we’re grateful for the team we have.

Thank you to our Paramedics and EMTs who show up to serve each and every day. You truly are one of a kind and we appreciate all of your hard work serving our community.

Laurel EMS is honored to announce we have been named the Montana Car Seat Fitting Station of the Year! This award recognizes the work done to build Laurel EMS into a trusted Child Passenger Safety Inspection Station in partnership with Safe Kids Yellowstone County. Through education, outreach, and hands-on support for families, this program has helped keep countless children in our community safer on the road.

From quarterly car seat events in Laurel to community education and helping families access safe and adaptive travel options for their children, the goal has always been simple: keeping kids safe. This program has become much more than car seat checks — it has become a trusted community resource for families wanting to keep their children safe.

Thank you to everyone who has supported this mission and trusted Laurel EMS to help protect the children in our community. We’d especially like to thank Paramedic Mandi Crable who puts in countless hours and so much energy into making all of this happen. We could not do this without you!

We are grateful for Laurel Fire Rescue and their support. These men and women step up everyday to answer the call, and we are fortunate they do so.

On International Firefighters’ Day, we recognize and honor all firefighters, especially the dedicated members of Laurel Fire Rescue.

Your commitment, courage, and willingness to serve others, often without recognition, are what make this community stronger and safer every day. This work is a calling, and each of you answers it with pride and professionalism.
