To enroll in its membership all persons of Italian birth or descent and all others as prescribed in Article I of the National Lodge General Laws; To promote education and secure adequate laws for the benefit of its members by active participation in the political, social and civic life of our communities; To encourage the dissemination of Italian culture in the United States and uphold the prestige of the people of Italian heritage in America; and to initiate and organize movements for patriotic and humanitarian purposes, thereby establishing a motto of "Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity".

Antonio Gatto Lodge is pleased to provide an Italian Basket to the Laurel Historical Society for their Heritage on Tap, an Oktoberfest event, to be held at the Community Center next to the Hospital off Contee Road on Saturday, October 17 from 4pm -8pm. Here is a link to the event and we hope to see many of you there bidding on the basket. Once we have all the goodies in the basket for this year, we will add to this post with a picture. Antonio Gatto Lodge wishes to extend our deepest sympathies to Bonnie Gregario and son, upon the passing of their husband/father on September 30. Guy will be missed and always remembered as the snappiest dresser in our Lodge, for bringing great bourbon to meetings, and for his meatballs he would bring to our Dolce gathering after our Italian Mass. His service will be held on October 22 at St. Mary's of the Mills Church in Laurel, MD at 11am.

🇮🇹 Memory Lane Monday 🇮🇹

For many Italian-American families, Sunday meant one thing: everybody came to dinner. ❤️

The sauce might have started early in the morning. There was pasta, meatballs, sausage, bread, maybe a bottle of homemade w**e, and somehow there was always room for one more person at the table.

But the food was only part of it. Sunday dinner was about famiglia. Grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, stories, laughter, and probably a few opinions being expressed rather loudly. 😂

There was plenty of good food and good company at the annual Antonio Gatto Lodge picnic, but there was also a little friendly competition!

The bocce court at Water's Edge Farm saw plenty of action, along with a few spectators keeping a very close eye on the proceedings. 😂

We don't have a date for this one, but we know many longtime Lodge members will recognize some familiar faces. Sadly, several of those pictured are no longer with us, making photographs like this all the more meaningful.
