Hello GLUSC Nation,

Some of you may know Richard (Dick) Broad and some may not but he has been a fixture in the DMV soccer community. You may not know that he was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. A cancer of the bone marrow plasma cells. Like most cancers it requires a series of difficult, exhausting, and expensive treatments. In addition to the medical bills there are many related expenses, transportation, lodging, lost income, etc. Richard is about to undergo a stem cell transplant and also has multiple other costly treatments. A single pill can cost as much $400.00.

We have an exciting new program we would like to share with you all!

Greater Laurel United SC will be offering a new Fun Friday Footskills Program that will extend over 8 weeks to help each young aspiring soccer player get more touches and improve their game in various technical areas.

We will have special guests from F.C. Inter Atlantic of the United Premier Soccer League joining us for each session led by Technical Director Kell Phillips.

Coach Kell has experience teaching at all levels of the game including the College and Professional ranks, while most recently working in USL Championship (Las Vegas Lights).

Dates :

September : 10, 17, 24

October : 1, 8, 15, 22, 29

Ages: Grades 1 and older

Time : 6:00 PM

Location : T. Howard Duckett (Supplee) 16601 Supplee Lane, Laurel, MD, 20707

Cost : $80 if you register by Friday September 3 11:59PM. $100 after.
