Last one: Loblolly is a rain or shine event!

The only exception is a cancellation required by MEMA, and application fees are non-refundable for rain unless MEMA dictates that cancellation.

Food vendors, read closely.

You must bring your own "quiet" generator to power your equipment — electricity and water access are not provided.

Propane cookers and fryers are permitted, but only for those signed up as food vendors.

Booth assignments are made once we reach food vendor capacity; you'll get an email with your booth number and the interactive map will update immediately.

Yellow spaces with an "F" prefix are food vendor spaces and can't be selected by general vendors.

General vendors, this one's for you!

You may choose any available space on the map except the yellow spaces with an "F" prefix — those are reserved for food vendors.

We don't police multiple vendors selling the same product line (Tupperware, Scentsy and the like).

Selling cottage foods? Those are items prepared off site that need no temperature control, and they apply as general vendors — if you're cooking on site, you're a food vendor. Details at msdh.ms.gov.

Festival day house rules, so everyone has a great event!

Booths stay set up for the full length of the festival — breakdown begins at 4PM, and vendors who tear down early will not be invited back the following year.

Booth locations are final; there's no booth switching on site.

Ear piercing is allowed by general vendors, but tattooing and all other forms of body modification are not.

A word on sales tax.

All vendors must collect sales tax on the sales they make at the Loblolly Festival and remit it to Laurel Main Street at the end of the day, regardless of where your business is licensed. We will remit all sales tax forms and payments to the MSDOR, per their requirements.

Make checks payable to Laurel Main Street, and note that tax forms require your GROSS sales — total sales before expenses.

On exemptions: in most cases a tax exemption is granted by the licensee's state of residence for products purchased at wholesale to be resold. That does not excuse vendors from collecting sales tax on items sold to consumers at the festival.

Packing list time!

Laurel Main Street does not provide tents, tables, or extension cords — vendors bring all of their own materials.

Electricity is available to general vendors inside the festival footprint, but outlets are mounted on light poles and can be up to 30 feet from your booth, so bring cords long enough to reach and tape down anything crossing a sidewalk.

Food vendors must bring their own "quiet" generators; electricity access is not provided.

And no parking is reserved for vendors — all lots are first come, first served.

Let's talk footprint.

Every Loblolly booth space is 10'×10', with clearance built in between booths. If your setup is bigger than that — a larger tent, a boutique trailer, a double display — you'll need to purchase additional spaces.

On event day, booths that overflow their boundaries will be asked to downsize, buy additional space if any remains, or leave the festival. Measure before you apply!

Trailers are welcome in general vendor spaces as long as size requirements are respected.

Approved — what's next?

General vendors receive a second email with a link to choose a booth location; spaces are first come, first served, and if you don't select one we'll assign it the week before the festival.

Food and activity locations are assigned by Laurel Main Street, and we'll be in touch.

As soon as you claim a spot, the interactive festival map updates instantly — update your vendor profile and share your map link so shoppers can find you that day!
